ROSEVILLE, CA, January 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) Sims Recycling Solutions, the world's largest electronics recycler nearly tripled their December volumes during the January 2011 first Friday of the month electronics recycling event at their facility in Roseville, CA. At the first drop off event of 2011 Sims Recycling Solutions welcomed over 80 cars and collected close to 10,000 lbs of electronics for recycling.
"It is typical for e-waste volumes to increase after the holiday season when consumers are replacing their electronics either through gifts they've received or purchases they have made themselves", states Steve Skurnac, President of Sims Recycling Solutions, US. "Consumers are becoming more aware of the importance of recycling their electronics safely and of the environmentally responsible options that are available to them. This event provides the community with a free, convenient, drive through service at our secure recycling facility on the first Friday of every month."
The next first Friday of the month event falls on February 4th, 2011 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the Sims Recycling Solutions facility on 8855 Washington Blvd., Roseville, CA 95678. The e-waste collection event is always arranged as a drive through and drop off event. Staff will be on site to collect the items from your car quickly and conveniently.
Sims Recycling Solutions can accept the following: televisions (TVs), monitors, whole and complete computers, laptops cell phones, telephones, printers, speakers, keyboards, mice, PDAs, radios, stereos, MP3s, DVDs, CD Players, and VCRs (etc). Sims Recycling Solutions cannot accept household appliances, smoke detectors, microwaves, batteries, ink/toner cartridges, and cans/bottles.
