Dr. Patty Ann Tublin- Relationship Expert- Gives Tips to De-stress in 2011

Many of us make a toast to health and happiness in the New Year. One great way to improve your health in 2011 is to reduce stress. Here are three ways to de-stress your life and relationship this year.

2011-01-26
STAMFORD, CT, January 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) Dr. Patty Ann Tublin, an internationally renowned relationship expert, has just posted a new article on her web site, where she shares three tips on how to de-stress in 2011. The article, "3 Ways to De-Stress Your Life & Your Relationship in 2011," is available at http://www.drpattyann.com/Newsletters/1-14-10.html

Many people toast health and happiness in the New Year, and according to Dr. Patty Ann, one of the best ways to improve your health is to reduce and control your stress.
In the article, she gives three tips to do just that, including communicating your stress to your partner, putting stress in perspective and learning how to breathe deeply. These tips also go a long way when attempting to stop fighting with your significant other.

"If you are in a loving, happy relationship, you are already ahead of the game because you have your partner for emotional support," Dr. Patty Ann. "So use this to your advantage by communicating your stress and what you are feeling stressed about to your partner."

Dr. Patty Ann warns that it is a mistake to assume your partner knows how you are feeling. "They are not mind readers," she said, "so talk. Just communicating what you are feeling has a way of de-stressing know. Knowing you're not alone makes the stress feel less burdensome and also brings you emotionally closer to your partner."

Dr. Patty Ann also explains that it's necessary to keep stressors in perspective of our entire life and remember that not all stressors have equal weight or equal value.

"It's so important to remember all the things you have to be grateful and thankful for," she explained. "If you are alive and healthy, no one stressor should be perceived as the end of the world!"
