New National Awards for Pardee Homes Honor Company's Quality Designs and Green Building Commitment
2011-01-27
LOS ANGELES, CA, January 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Pardee Homes celebrates the first month of the New Year with a fresh round of high honors for new home designs that are a hit with design judges and just as popular with their most important audience--new-home buyers in California's San Diego and Inland Empire markets. Highlands Village in San Diego led the way with Gold Awards in The Nationals competition and Best In American Living Awards (BALA), both celebrated January 13 as part of the International Builders Show in Orlando, Florida.

Highlands Village earned a Gold in The Nationals for Best Product Design of Attached Product, and in BALA, a second Gold for the design of Plan 1X in the Multi-Family Housing Up to 5 Stories category The project also earned Silver Awards in The Nationals for its model home merchandising, sales center and print advertising campaign.

Also honored in The Nationals is Pardee Homes' LivingSmart Homes at Canyon Hills in Lake Elsinore, California, which took Silver Awards as Community of the Year and for model home landscaping that demonstrates drought tolerant concepts. Anchored by affordability, plan variety and energy- and water-saving green standards, both Highlands Village and the LivingSmart Homes continue to log sales rates that outstrip their competitors.

"These gratifying accolades from BALA and The Nationals validate the success of our core mission," said Mike McGee, Pardee Homes President and CEO. "That mission is to create desirable new homes that deliver enduring value, in preferred neighborhoods and communities."

Pardee Homes was also noted its green building programs. Silver Award winners include the company's LivingSmart brand logo, and its Earth Month initiative, which was staged throughout April in all of Pardee's market regions.

"We are very proud of the recognition LivingSmart has achieved as we mark our first decade of bringing this important additional value to our new homes," said Joyce Mason, vice president of marketing. "Our commitment to green continues in 2011, and is key to the new homes we offer in all of our markets, and at every price point."

Both BALA and The Nationals are affiliated with The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), which stages The International Builders Show (IBS) as its annual conference and exposition. BALA focuses primarily on home and community design, while The Nationals also pays tribute to sales and marketing achievements. Judges for both competitions represented a cross section of home building's diverse professional disciplines.

Pardee Homes is recognized for its superior master-planning concepts, quality homes, responsive customer service and dedication to the educational and civic goals of the communities in which it builds. The company's many awards honor design and planning, and commitment to greener and more sustainable new home development. Visit www.pardeehomes.com.
