2011-01-28
LOS ANGELES, CA, January 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) Pardee Homes is among a select group of homebuilding companies noted for high levels of customer satisfaction, an achievement most recently recognized in the 2011 Eliant Homebuyers' Choice Awards. Pardee Homes earned 12 honors in the Eliant program, with winners chosen on the basis of more than 55,000 surveys of new homeowners, representing more than 190 major homebuilders nationwide.

"Our winners understand the power of customer satisfaction, and they strive to deliver that satisfaction through every facet of new home purchase," said Robert Mirman, founder and CEO of Eliant, a customer experience management company that has been surveying buyers of new homes for 27 years. "Pardee Homes' commitment to the delivery of an extraordinary customer experience ranks them in the top 1% of our nation's homebuilders."

While 41 different builders or divisions were identified as being the best in the industry, this year's Homebuyers' Choice results were dominated by just five companies, including Pardee Homes. Pardee tallied favorable rankings in each of its divisions.

Recognition for the Las Vegas division included the number one customer service experience rating. The company's San Diego division ranked first in "Highest Percent of Sales from Referrals", with 36% of its sales coming from homeowner referrals and local word-of-mouth.

Ranking scores for the Inland Empire division included the design selection experience and overall first year quality. The LA/Ventura division earned honorable mention for customer service experience and overall home purchase and ownership experience.

"Each survey represents a direct vote that a homebuyer gives to their builder," said Mirman. "Eliant winners are not selected by a panel of industry judges, but identified by the ultimate judges--their customers.

"In 2010, across all Pardee Homes' divisions, nearly one in three home buyers (29%) said that their purchase was based on a current home owner's referral or positive word-of-mouth in the local community," he added.

Pardee Homes President & CEO Michael McGee said the Eliant honors do more than strengthen the company's ability to generate sales. "These honors validate the dedication and commitment our workforce brings to our customers," said McGee. "Ultimately, any company is only as good as its people, and I am extremely proud to head such an outstanding workforce!"

Lynda Lane, CEO of Real Estate Temps added that the Eliant surveys confirm the growing commitment of homebuilders to an extraordinary customer experience. "The scores of this year's winners are higher than last year, confirming that these home builders are not just promising a wonderful home buying experience--they are delivering," she said.

Celebrating 90 years in the homebuilding business, Pardee Homes creates new homes and communities for first-time through luxury homebuyers. It was among the first to embrace master-planned community concepts; green homebuilding measures; environmentally sensitive development practices; and customer-focused processes for new home purchase.

Pardee Homes is also widely known for its steadfast civic outreach, and for helping to bring new schools, parks and recreational amenities to its market areas. The company has earned scores of honors for customer service, green and sustainable building practices, architectural design, master-planned communities and marketing. See www.pardeehomes.com.

Ski Resort Liability for Negligently Maintained Property

2011-01-28
There are some activities or sports that the law considers to be inherently dangerous or that pose such a high risk of injury to a person that the liability of the sponsor, owner, or agent of the activity might be exempt. The person engaging in that activity must take responsibility for knowing that there is a high risk of injury. Among the more common inherently dangerous sports is downhill skiing -- gliding down icy slopes at high speeds complete with moguls, trees, rocks and dramatic changes in the terrain. Ski runs are labeled from novice to expert, and a beginning ...

Colorado Regulators Develop New Medical Marijuana Rules

Andrew Kubicek, a 29-year-old employee of Remedy Care Center Medical Marijuana Dispensary in Denver, was arrested in November for distribution of child pornography. The fact that Kubicek was a medical marijuana shop employee is not irrelevant. His arrest is one example of how the state of Colorado and local law enforcement agencies have increased scrutiny of the controversial ...
