TOLEDO, OH, September 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) World Airport Transfer (WAT), a global reservation service for ground transportation, announced the launch of a redesigned http://www.World-Airport-Transfer.com. New services and enhanced features such as Quick quote and Green Travel are now available on the site.
Through the newly designed website, Quick Quote of rates is now available for WAT's full range of transportation options including private and shared-ride services from over 400 major airports, 50 ports used by cruise ships, and eight train stations. The Quick Quote can be used for any number of persons from specific pickup points to destinations on given date and time.
The new website version also now sports a user-friendly design, with improved navigation and easier access to specific ground transportation options. There are specific pages for a listing of airport transfers available per continent, country, city, and airport. An airport guide is provided for, easily accessed from the home page. Another way to search airports is by entering the airport code in a search field on the home page.
Booking is faster and more efficient with a simplified booking form. Upon completion, a link to the booking status page is given together with the time frame for confirmation of the booking.
"We revamped our website to allow clients to browse and find the right transport even more simply and quickly. Alongside improved interface and design, WAT has even more up-to-date pricing and products. Quick browsing is enabled with faster navigation and page uploads," said WAT president Emmanuel Issaurat.
Also introduced on the redesigned website is Green Travel. According to Emmanuel, the company is making a committed effort to minimize carbon emissions produced by its journey transfers through shared-ride shuttle services and a carbon offsetting project.
"Transport accounts from 15% of global carbon emissions and we have a responsibility to actively meet carbon reductions goals—an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050," said Emmanuel.
The shared-ride service is an energy conservation measure and a customer service solution. "Travelers save on time and money, and help save energy," said Emmanuel, and explained that carbon offsetting is another way to minimize the carbon footprint from transport. "With a minimized impact on the environment, clients can certainly appreciate the Travel Green feature on our transfers and ground transportation services."
