LateRooms.com - White Lies to Play Prague Venue

Prague's Lucerna Music Bar is set to welcome London trio White Lies later this year.

2011-02-01
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC, February 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) Guests of Prague hotels in March may like to visit the city's Lucerna Music Bar to catch White Lies.

The London-based alternative rock band are set to perform at the venue in support of their second album Ritual, which was released on January 17th 2011.

Taking place on Monday March 7th, the gig will give fans of the group a chance to hear songs from the LP such as recent single Bigger Than Us, Bad Love and Holy Ghost.

Popular tracks from the trio's debut effort, 2009's To Lose My Life..., are also likely to feature in the set.

Formed in 2007, White Lies have been compared with the likes of Joy Division, Interpol and Echo and the Bunnymen, largely due to their dark, introspective lyrics and the vocal style of lead singer Harry McVeigh.

In a review of a recent show in London, the Independent said the band are "masters of the indie dance floor-filler formula".

The newspaper also described Bigger Than Us as "pure, intense stadium-worthy rock" and suggested White Lies could achieve their aim of becoming the next Kings of Leon.

Tickets for their gig in Prague are priced at 450 Czech koruna (GBP16) in advance and 550 Czech koruna on the door, with support provided by US band Crocodiles.

Concertgoers can find the perfect place to relax in Prague after the show through LateRooms.com, which offers accommodation such as the Hotel Tosca Prague.

For more information on this event, visit the Lucerna Music Bar website.
