SAE Oxford's Wallman joins Guardian Careers expert panel for: 'What is it like to be a music producer' live Q&A session.

OXFORD, ENGLAND, August 13, 2010 (Press-News.org) Ian Wallman, Record Producer and Senior Audio Degree Lecturer at SAE Institute Oxford, has joined the panel of experts for the Guardian Careers ' What is it like to be a music producer ' live Q&A session this Thursday 12th August 1-4pm.

Wallman who has over 15 years experience in the music industry including a UK top ten hit, major record and publishing deals in both the UK and USA, received an Ivor Novello nomination for the "Best Dance Single".

Following a successful career in commercial radio he moved into record production, covering almost every genre from dance, rock, pop, jazz and classical while also achieving success in the area of post production (BBC), DJ'ing and audio education with the SAE Institute, Oxford.
Known for his high production values and versatility, his work has been adopted by many international artistes as diverse as Beyonce, Lady Ga Ga, Michael Buble and Shakira.
SAE's Wallman commented "This is a unique opportunity for those of you who want to find the best route and choice for a 'hands on' education and practical approach to a career in recording."
Also joining the panel is former SAE London graduate, Guy Katsav. His credits include Groove Armada, The View, Ronnie Scott, The Gossip, Sandy Rivera, The Streets, Paulo Nutini, Seed, Owen Morris, Liberty X, Ms Dynamite, Old Man River, Felix Da House Cat, Akala, Jay Sean, Tony Allen, Adrian Sherwood and Estelle.

Guy mixed four tracks on The View's album "Hats Off to the Buskers" which went to number one in the UK Album Charts, including one of the tracks he mixed reaching number 3 of the UK Single Charts.
