Ever think, "They should have quoted me instead of him!" when you read a newspaper article? Ever wonder why some companies always manage to earn more media coverage than yours? Well, wonder no longer. HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, will host a panel of prestigious local media personnel discussing "How to Pitch Your Company to the Media and Get Covered," at an Executive Breakfast to be Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Newsday Auditorium, located at 235 Pinelawn Road, Melville, NY. The panel will be moderated by Arthur Germain, Principal and Chief Brandteller of Communication Strategy Group, an East Northport, NY-based brand marketing agency. "Every journalist has ideas about what pitches are newsworthy, whether or not they belong in his or her column, and even if they prefer to be contacted by phone or email," said Germain. "This panel will answer these and many other questions about how to get your story placed in the media."

- Who should you pitch with your story?
