DORSET, ENGLAND, February 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) C G Pitcher and Son, family builders based in Blandford, Dorset have won the Constructing Excellence Best Small Contractor UK 2010 at the awards held at the end of last year in London. C G Pitcher and Son had previously won the South West regional award for 'Best Small Contractor 2010' in June of last year and were put against the best of the other seven regional winners at the London awards in December.
Director of C G Pitcher and Son, Mark Pitcher said "We are thrilled to win this award, which confirms us as the best small builder in the UK. This is a great award and is a brilliant achievement and is due to all the hard work that everyone in the team has put in".
C G Pitcher and Son Ltd have been trading in Dorset for 108 years and is now run by the great grandson of the founder. The award recognised the best in service, value and quality where C G Pitcher and Son were singled out as outstanding in every category.
Graham Pitcher, the founder's grandson who has worked in the family business for the last 48 years added, "To be the best of the best is fantastic and just goes to highlight that some businesses in Dorset are world class. I am extremely proud of the family business and all of the team, and proud of being a Dorset company".
