Local Dentist in Eagan MN Participating in Give Kids a Smile Program

Dr. Collin Hatcher, a dentist in Eagan MN has volunteered to participate in the 2011 Give Kids a Smile Program, offering free dental care to children from low-income families.

2011-02-02
EAGAN, MN, February 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) Every year thousand of volunteers come together in February to provide free dental care to children from low-income families. Last year, more then 6,000 children in Minnesota received dental services throughout the state, valued at roughly $1.7 million. The number of children who are unable to access needed dental care is continuing to grow, making this program more and more important. It also means the demand for more volunteers continues to grow.

On Friday February 4th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Dr. Collin Hatcher and his staff will be providing free dental services to a full schedule of children. These children will be given preventative care treatment such as exams, cleanings, and sealants, as well as restorative work like composite fillings. http://www.cedarcliffdental.com

Preventative care is critical at any age, especially for children, and is the best thing one can do to prevent more extensive and costly treatment down the road. Dr. Hatcher and his staff hope to make a positive impact on these children's lives by getting them on the right path with their dental health, and educating them on how they can keep on that path for optimal dental health.

A translator will be present to overcome any language barriers presented, and to allow for more effective communication with the children and their parents.

Go to their website at http://www.cedarcliffdental.com to keep posted on their involvement in other community led programs.
