STRATFORD, CT, February 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Each grant is for one free year of CyberAlert 5.0 Online News Monitoring Service. Award winners may also opt to receive CyberAlert's TV news monitoring service or social media monitoring services including blog monitoring, message board monitoring, online video monitoring and Twitter monitoring.
In announcing the award recipients, William J. Comcowich, president and CEO of CyberAlert stated: "We're very pleased that CyberAlert can effectively help these not-for-profit organizations monitor their public relations successes as they carry on their vital services."
The total retail value of this year's grants exceeds $75,000. Since starting the PR Grants program in 2004, CyberAlert has awarded a total of 160 media monitoring grants to not-for-profit organizations with a retail value of more than $450,000.
The 2011 award recipients are located in eight different states -- California (4), Georgia (2), Michigan, North Carolina, New York, South Carolina, Texas (2), Virginia, the District of Columbia (2) -- and two Canadian provinces, Ontario and British Columbia (2). The recipients are mainly smaller not-for-profit organizations in health, education and civil rights.

In announcing the twenty grant recipients for 2011, Mr. Comcowich affirmed the company's continued support of the PR grants program. Over 150 not-for-profit organizations applied to CyberAlert this year for the PR grants.
