Hollywoodsportsbook.com Chooses "Mad Man with a Man Made Cannon" as Its Latest "Gambler of the Week"

N.C. man overly excited for Steelers win, fires his cannon to celebrate their trip to the SuperBowl.

2011-02-04
SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA, February 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) Hollywoodsportsbook.com, (www.hollywoodsportsbook.com) a leading online entertainment gaming site since 1997, today announced that it has chosen 45 year old Lincolnton, North Carolina resident and proud Pittsburgh Steeler fan, Bobby Wayne Blanton, as its latest "Gambler of the Week" for firing off his man made stainless steel cannon to celebrate the Steelers AFC playoff win.

Robert Evans, Hollywood's Director of Operations says. "WTF.... a cannon? What, there were no M-80s in the house? No sub-machine guns?..No plastic explosives? No cars to tip over? That's how most drunken people celebrate their team's victories. I mean really... who has a cannon in their backyard, an actual working one? Unless you're using it to defend yourself from the invisible alien ships that are killing all the birds in the area, then you have no business owning a real cannon. ...Well actually, I guess if you do own your own cannon, it is pretty cool. I bet the ladies of Lincolnton love it... "Hey mama...wanna see my cannon..no seriously...a real cannon"," Evans opines.

Blanton was subsequently arrested and cited for discharging a firearm inside the city limits not once, but several times scaring the crap out of his neighbors. After tracking down the cannon fire to the Blanton residence, police found another cannon, black powder, (probably some "white powder" also), a fuse, a muzzle-loading propellant and metal pellets, thereby 'defusing' his "It wasn't me" defense strategy.

Evans continues... "Okay, the man has his own cannon. But we chose him as "Gambler of the Week" for the fact that he actually shot it off from his backyard, gambling that no one would notice or care after the Steelers won. After all... North Carolina is the heart of Steeler territory, isn't it? Not to mention that he fits the typical southern white man hillbilly description with 3 names.... Bobby Wayne Blanton...come on now...Why do most of our gamblers of the week have names that seem to fit their crimes? But anyway, you have to admire his devotion to both heavy artillery and his football team which is kind of scary when you think about it, especially if The Steelers win the Superbowl, then get the hell out of Dodge! Evans warns Blantons' neighbors within firing range.

For being chosen as our "Gambler of the Week," Hollywood is awarding Mr. Blanton with a $500 wagering account which we hope he can run up to thousands in order to pay for some more ammunition and of course legal fees, says Ms. Nicki Smith, Hollywood's Public Relations manager.

Additionally Hollywood has a special promotion in honor of Blanton's Cannon. Sign up and make a deposit with them and they will give you an extra 20% cash bonus to use on their site using promo code GOW20.

2011-02-04
For any professional, the prospect of a criminal charge, even a simple misdemeanor, can present serious threat to a job and a career. For teachers and public school employees, 2005 Michigan "School Safety" legislation (2005 PA 129-131 and 138) presents a special danger for future employment. Although it has been effective since January 1, 2006, many criminal defense lawyers and even judges are unaware of the special reporting requirements for teachers charged with a crime. As a result, minor violations of the law can too often become major employment issues with far reaching ...

2011-02-04
