STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, February 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) SamLogic Software has released CD Menu Creator 2010, a designer tool that can design and create autorun CD menu interfaces. This tool can also be used for creating autorun menu interfaces for DVDs and USB flash drives.
Many companies distribute programs, documents, movies etc via CDs, DVDs or USB flash drives and it can sometimes be time-consuming and difficult for users to find the correct files on the disc/drive, especially for people with little experience of computers. By adding a menu interface, a user can navigate fast through the disc or drive and get access to the content (for example a setup program or PDF document) in a simple way.
With the tool CD Menu Creator 2010 it is quite easy to design and create a menu interface like this. A menu interface can contain buttons, pictures, movies, sound etc. CD Menu Creator 2010 has also built-in support for Adobe Flash videos. Some special effects can also be added to a menu, like glass effects and fade effects.
CD Menu Creator 2010 utilizes the AutoRun technology in Windows so the menu interface will be shown automatically when a user inserts the CD or DVD in a drive. When used with USB flash drives the higher security restrictions require some user action before the menu interface is shown.
Companies use CD Menu Creator 2010 to create menu interfaces for setup programs, applications, sales presentations, multimedia lectures, presentations etc.
One new function in CD Menu Creator 2010 is the ability to encrypt and password protect files. This security function can be used to protect programs and documents. Only a user with correct password will be able to open the file. The encryption prevents that users access the file directly on the disc or drive without password.
