STOCKHOLM, February 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) HansaWorld announced that three of its first mobile applications for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad have been released worldwide in the Apple iTunes App Store. The trio of apps consist of an updated version of Mobile Reports and two brand new apps - Mobile POS (Point of Sale) and Mobile Inventory.
Mobile Reports is an application that provides users with a real-time client for Enterprise by HansaWorld specifically for reporting. With it you can run any of the 400 or so standard Enterprise reports in real-time using the data held on your main server, including any user-configured or customised reports. All you need is a mobile network.
Mobile POS and Mobile Inventory are a pair of applications that bring sales processing and inventory control to anyone armed with an iPhone, iPod touch or an iPad. You can enter the details of a sale or stock manually, or by using a barcode scanner and magnetic stripe reader suitable for use with the iPod touch, such as the Linea-Pro from IPC Peripherals. These two applications can either be seamlessly used with Enterprise by HansaWorld, or used with an alternative accounting or ERP system. These solutions are running the same code as Enterprise by HansaWorld, an Integrated Business Platform covering Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management and vertical market solutions, and hence are part of the automatic upgrade path for that application.
"We're seeing an increasing number of businesses that value mobility. Sometimes these are businesses whose managers want access to their data in real-time for decision-making - what are current inventory levels, when are items available to promise, or simply how is their business doing" said Stephen Jay, International Sales Director of HansaWorld. He continued "In other cases it's enabling the staff to continue working outside the traditional boundaries imposed by desktop and even laptop computers - away from sales counters and offices, out in the field, in the warehouse, at customers or perhaps at trade shows. We're proud that the three applications we're launching cover each of these areas, as the first of several such launches. We've already compiled the whole of the Enterprise by HansaWorld application for iOS, and so it is a relatively straightforward process to tailor the screens for specific Apple devices and offer further role-based applications."
In the near future HansaWorld is also planning to release these applications for the Android market.
Mobile POS, Mobile Reports and Mobile Inventory are compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running iOS 3.1.3 or later. For more information about these applications, please contact your local HansaWorld office.

"We were on the third floor of his condo. I sat on his couch comfortably, listening to the sound of paper as he shuffled the score sheets professionally in his capable hands. I pondered the fact that I was even sitting there. I was just a single mom, barely making the pennies stretch from one day to the next, certainly not able to stand with my head up in the circles that this man walked in. So how was it that I was sitting with this famous orchestral arranger? His credits included Land of the Lost, Star Trek, Medal of Honor, Ratatouille, Mission Impossible, Aeon Flux, ...
