Irene Brennick's song People Like You was featured in a notable tribute to Robert Sargent Shriver, Jr. for Peace Corps, Gabon, Africa. Known as "The Doctor of Public Service, Sargent Shriver Jr. compiled an unparalleled record of public service from the local level to the world community. Mr. Shriver served under President John F. Kennedy as the organizer and first director of the Peace Corps. He developed volunteer activities in more than 50 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America."I am so very honored to have the unique opportunity to lend my song about everyday heroes to such a monolithic figure as Mr. Shriver.
