World Security Corporation to Distribute Free FrontDoorSoftware Laptop Loss Prevention and Recovery Software

World Security Corporation has announced that it will supply free licenses of FrontDoorSoftware, which helps recover stolen laptops, and was formerly sold for $29.95 for a 3-year agreement.

EVERGREEN, CO, February 16, 2011

World Security Corporation, a distributor of the laptop loss prevention and recovery software FrontDoorSoftware, has announced that it will now supply one complimentary license per person for its basic service. This innovative software program is responsible for helping owners track down and recover lost and stolen laptops across the world, and was formerly sold for $29.95 for a 3-year licensing agreement.

"We are excited to now offer the FrontDoorSoftware basic program as a free service to anyone who wishes to sign up," said Carrie Hafeman, President of World Security Corporation. "Laptops are an expensive investment, especially when considering the valuable information people store on them. This software can provide laptop owners peace of mind knowing they have multiple options to track down a lost or stolen laptop, and increase their chances of success from 3% to more than 95%."

The FrontDoorSoftware basic service is a program that, once installed on a computer, gives the owner four methods to track down and recover the computer if it is lost or stolen. First, the owner can activate a Stolen Computer message that appears on the boot-up screen notifying whoever is using the computer that it has been reported stolen and helping prevent an illegal resale of the computer. Second, the owner can send a lockdown code to the computer effectively freezing access to programs and protecting personal owner information. Third, the owner can activate an audio message announcing to all within hearing distance that the laptop was stolen, essentially allowing the computer to sound its own distress signal and shout for help. Owners can even create their own custom message to yell at the thief. And finally, the owner can send a message that appears on the boot-up screen and attempt to communicate in real time with whoever has the computer and negotiate its safe return.

"This software program is extremely helpful to anyone who uses a laptop computer and regularly transports it with them," said Hafeman. "It is especially useful for students on college campuses where theft is rampant, as well as business people who travel frequently and are more likely to misplace their laptops."

For those who wish for even more options for recovering a lost or stolen laptop, World Security Corporation also distributes a premium service of FrontDoorSoftware which includes a geo-tracking mechanism. Should someone boot-up a stolen computer and attempt to access the Internet, the computer will try to pinpoint its location on a Google Map and send that location to the rightful owner.
