Second, the owner can send a lockdown code to the computer effectively freezing access to programs and protecting personal owner information. Owners can even create their own custom message to yell at the thief. And finally, the owner can send a message that appears on the boot-up screen and attempt to communicate in real time with whoever has the computer and negotiate its safe return.
