Belnet is a specialised national internet service provider dedicated to supporting the needs of the research and education communities and public services within Belgium.
Belnet operates a high-speed optical fibre network. The network is open to universities, researchers, academics and students at nearly 200 Research & Education institutions, government/public services and research centers. Belnet connectivity includes access to the pan-European research network Geant and the American Internet2.
CanIt-Domain-PRO allows an internet service provider like Belnet to delegate control of spam filtering to - for example - a University which can, in turn, delegate control of spam filtering across multiple departments within the University and ultimately to end users.
