PARIS, FRANCE, February 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) Fans of the legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick may have a treat in store for them if they visit La Cinematheque Francaise in the coming months.
A full retrospective of the director's work will be on display at the cultural centre from March 23rd to July 31st 2011, with a collection of his movies being screened alongside the installation.
Visitors will be able to see production sketchbooks, architectural drawings and research papers used by Kubrick and his team on some of his best-known films.
There will also be some familiar costumes and props on display, such as masks from Eyes Wide Shut and the survival kit seen in Dr Strangelove.
Kubrick is widely acclaimed as one of the greatest directors of all time thanks to his work on films including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange and The Shining.
The show in Paris will offer a detailed history of his career and his cinematic style.
Tickets are available for EUR10 (GBP8.40), or EUR12 to view the installation and a film.
