FORT WORTH, TX, February 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) Gardenfest is a full day of informational gardening presentations from industry experts that is free to the gardening public.
During this daylong event Mariana Greene from The Dallas Morning News will share the quirky and curious gardening stories she has covered for the newspaper, while Chris Wiesinger, the Bulb Hunter, will offer stories about his unique bulbs that have been featured in Southern Living Magazine. Aaron Shriver and Gabrielle Babcock of Monrovia Horticultural will provide information on tree and shrub gardening and perennial plant designs.
Faith Savage, a flower expert from Syngenta, will discuss the meaning of color and how it can impact guests and home gardens. Wayne Pianta, a product technical specialist at Ball Horticulture, will provide insights on how to create real impact with color in Texas gardens. Dr. Clark Springfield, who is vice president of Ran-Pro Farms, will share how to grow fruits, grapes and berries in a home garden. Aaron Pinkus, vice president of Blue Label Herbs, and Christina Higginbotham, professional herb grower with Blue Label Herbs, will also focus on edible gardening explaining the trends in herb gardening as well as specific varieties that perform well in Texas.
