LOS ANGELES, CA, February 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) KJ Christopher has joined the Los Angeles office of Grant Thornton LLP as a Tax Director.
Christopher brings over 13 years of experience in the financial services and manufacturing industries, working with public and private, domestic and multi-national clients to identify planning opportunities within operations, merger and acquisition activities, and employee compensation and benefits issues.
"KJ brings a solid skill set and expertise to our Southern California Tax Practice," said Joel Anik, the Southern California and West Region Managing Partner. "His extensive experience and dedication to providing quality service will greatly benefit Grant Thornton and our clients."
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Christopher held positions with Deloitte Tax LLP in Los Angeles from 2008 to 2010 and with the Mississippi, Tennessee, and Los Angeles offices of KPMG LLP from 1997 to 2008.
Christopher earned his M.S. in accounting/taxation from The University of Memphis. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a licensed CPA in California and Tennessee. Christopher served on the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA Board of Managers and has held multiple committee positions for the United Way in Los Angeles. In 2004, Christopher was selected as one of the "Top 40 Under 40" business professionals in Mississippi. He resides in Redondo Beach with his wife, Stacey, and their daughter.
