RALEIGH, NC, February 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) When University Conference Services, a North Carolina based producer of executive education conferences for human resource, benefits and finance executives, determined they needed to enhance the capabilities of their website, they turned to Triangle-based firms Holy Cow Branding and Imp Designs for strategy, design, and implementation.
Holy Cow coordinated the website creation process, overseeing the formation of a team for the project, designing site layout and graphic elements, and collaborating with Imp Designs and University Conference Services on content strategy. Imp Designs provided backend development for the project, creating the site framework and implementing several innovative tools that allow for a robust client experience upon accessing the site.
Using the ExpressionEngine content management platform, Holy Cow and Imp Designs designed and built a custom tool for University Conference Services that allows them to input data about upcoming conferences in one place, resulting in the dynamic generation of that data throughout the entire site, reducing the amount of labor allocated to manual data input to a fraction of what it once was. The website also now features a voluminous resource center available to users seeking information on employee benefits.
"The new website is a large-scale improvement in both functionality and design," said Billie Carson, Senior Vice President at UCS. "Not only does it increase our organization's productivity by cutting hours of manual input, it presents our site users with a more intuitive navigation process, easier steps for conference registration and monitoring, and a more in-depth collection of resources. Holy Cow and Imp Designs have really outdone themselves on this project."
The University Conference Services website is currently up and running, and can be visited at the URL http://www.ucs-edu.com.
