Designer Lauren Elaine brings Couture and Swimwear to Crystal

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, September 06, 2010 (Press-News.org) Los Angeles based, celebrity fashion designer Lauren Elaine continues to bring high fashion to the Mediterranean with the second of two fashion-themed voyages presented by Crystal Cruises. Handpicked by Crystal as the designer of choice, Lauren Elaine follows up the success of the first on-board runway show in June, by presenting an encore presentation of the SS2010 Black Label Siren Collection and adding a second poolside show featuring the international debut of the Black Label Swim Cruise Collection, from September 29-October 8th, 2010.

With a mission to reinvent the "princess" archetype for the modern woman, Elaine's designs have found a home among young Hollywood starlets and magazines the world over, and now, on what is arguably the world's finest luxury cruise ship. With the unmistakable Mediterranean and European influences reflected in the SS2010 Black Label Collection, Elaine brings on board a level of taste and luxury directly mirroring Crystal's own impeccable standards. Kicking off this second "Fashion and Style" themed voyage will be a poolside presentation of the exotic, 70's inspired Black Label Swim Collection on October 1st, followed by a 20 look formal runway show of the SS2010 Siren Collection on October 3rd. In addition, Elaine has designed two dresses exclusively for Crystal, the "Serenity" and the "Symphony"- aptly named after the cruise line's two ships, and unveiled during the second runway show and available exclusively to Crystal guests. Elaine will also host several trunk shows, meet-and-greets, and unique 'Style Lounge' sessions where guests can meet, interact, and get style advice directly from a handful of industry experts, also on board for the trip.

"It's such a transforming experience," says Elaine. "Guests are not only able to experience fashion first-hand, but they are able to do so in the fashion and style capitols of the world. While creating my 'Siren' collection, I was directly influenced by both the 'Sirens' in Greek Mythology, as well as the silver screen 'Sirens' of the 40s and 50s. Not only will we be sailing the Mediterranean during the show, but guests will be visiting places like Monte Carlo and Rome- and they'll be able to see the influences of style icons such as Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn in the collection. It's definitely a dream come true as a designer." In addition to a perfect setting, guests will also enjoy fashion-themed films selected by both Lauren Elaine, and other industry experts in efforts to build to the climatic final runway presentation. "On the first trip in June, it was very exciting to be able to watch 'Roman Holiday' or 'To Catch a Thief' the evening before walking the streets of Monte Carlo and Rome. I think it's wonderful how we are able to combine so many aspects of fashion and style into this 10-day cruise."

Since the official launch of the 'Lauren Elaine' brand in October of 2009, Elaine has been a fixture at Los Angeles Fashion Week- showcasing three seasons, and with plans to unveil her SS2011 Black Label Couture collection at LA Fashion Week with a private red carpet soiree planned for October 18th, 2010. Guests on Crystal's second 'Fashion & Style Experiences of Discovery' trip will travel on the Crystal Serenity- consistently rated as the finest cruise ship in the world by both Conde Naste and Traveler publications. The 10-day trip- "Fashion Capitals" - departs on September 29th with an itinerary from Venice to Monte Carlo.
