The recently-appointed Head Chef will oversee the hotel's 100-seat award-winning 18Fifty5 restaurant and bar and will launch his innovative menu built on a core of seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients.
With over 15 years of hospitality experience, including the Savoy in London and a year in Michelin-starred restaurants in France, the 38-year-old Head Chef has held both AA and Michelin accreditations with his dishes being described as "cutting-edge rustic" by food inspectors. Multi-award-winning John joins the hotel from the von Essen group and is now on a mission to build on the already prodigious culinary reputation of the hotel's 18Fifty5 restaurant.
