LateRooms.com - Enjoy Classic Levellers at Bournemouth's O2 Academy

Music fans can enjoy Levelling the Land live in Bournemouth next month.

2011-02-22
BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, February 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Levellers are heading to Bournemouth to revisit one of their classic albums live on stage.

On Tuesday March 8th, the Brighton-based folk rock outfit will perform Levelling the Land in full at the O2 Academy Bournemouth.

Released in 1991, the LP is a firm favourite among fans of the band and contains much-loved songs such as One Way, Fifteen Years and Battle of the Beanfield.

The group have decided to play the album as a special feature of their 20th anniversary tour, which will take place throughout March.

Although they have not released a new record since 2008's Letters from the Underground, the Levellers received an accolade at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards earlier this month.

They accepted the Roots Award and closed the ceremony in London with renditions of One Way and Riverflow.

Support for the Bournemouth show will be provided by The Wonder Stuff, who enjoyed hits of their own during the early 1990s with tracks such as Caught In My Shadow, Unbearable and Dizzy.

Tickets for the gig are available online, priced at GBP20 plus booking fee. Doors are due to open at 19:00 GMT.

Fans of the group looking for Bournemouth hotels can browse a variety of options at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Royal Bath Hotel Bournemouth.

For more information on this event, visit http://www.o2academybournemouth.co.uk/ or contact the venue on 0844 477 2000.
