COTSWOLDS, ENGLAND, February 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) A captivating evening of classic Motown hits has been lined up at Cheltenham Racecourse next month.
With the famous Cheltenham Festival due to celebrate its centenary this year, the venue plans to start the festivities in style with its Magic of Motown night on Friday March 11th.
This tribute to the legendary Detroit record label will feature hits by The Temptations, Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, The Jacksons and many more top artists.
According to a statement from the organisers, the show will feature a "superbly choreographed cast" and promises to be "an absolute scorcher".
Members of the audience can expect several costume changes and every possible effort will be made to faithfully recreate the sound of 1960s-era Motown.
Tickets for the performance are priced at GBP20 plus booking fee.
Doors at the racecourse's Centaur conference venue will open at 19:00 GMT, with the music due to begin one hour later.
This year's Cheltenham Festival is scheduled to run from Tuesday March 15th to Friday March 18th, with plenty of special features planned to mark the racing event's 100th birthday.
