Professional Freelancers Network Enjoys Steady Growth in 2010

After a successful launch in 2010, the online freelance community announces planned enhancements for 2011.

2011-03-01
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, March 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) Professional Freelancers Network is proud to recount its 2010 accomplishments and announce service enhancements slated for launch in 2011. Scheduled upgrades are designed to help the freelance community find more work and telecommuting opportunities.

The fast-growing professional networking website was launched in 2010 with a mission to improve the online freelance marketplace by promoting professional ethics and standards, educating buyers and new freelancers, and enabling professional networking among like-minded providers. With an active and involved membership base, the website serves freelance professionals worldwide while offering social networking tools, resources, and distinguished professional affiliation.

During 2010, the organization formalized its Founder's Committee and Code of Ethics to ensure leadership, governance, and standards. Momentum grew with the launch of its comprehensive Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization campaign.

Features and enhancements introduced in 2010 include:

/Meeting Rooms/. This interactive tool enables real-time member meetings, seminars, and social gatherings.

/Calendars/. The collective calendar system helps the freelance community schedule and share meetings.

/Contact Book/. This productivity feature streamlines client or consultant referrals into one single click.

/Newsletters/. Monthly publications keep members informed about industry events and trends, accomplishments, and site enhancements.

/Member Seals/. Available for download in multiple sizes and styles, PFN logos help members promote professional affiliation.

/Social Networking/. New PFN Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles help members stay in touch, expand their marketing reach, and find work.

"We're thrilled and humbled by the growth we've experienced since our inception," explained Jennifer Anderson, founder of the Professional Freelancers Network. "Word spread quickly, with membership doubling this year. As we transition into 2011, we plan to add even greater value for contract workers and the global freelance community."

Site enhancements slated for the coming year include a forum reorganization, payment processing options, an enhanced job board, expanded resume features, improved transparency of member activity, and member verification. "Our soon-to-be-launched member verification service will change the face of the online freelancing marketplace, dramatically elevating the level of assurance and trust among independent contractors and their clients," Ms. Anderson continued. "Both parties will have the ability to substantiate their credentials and their commitment to an elevated level of professional standards."
