ITB Berlin brings travel industry professionals from all over the world to Germany.

2011-03-02
BERLIN, GERMANY, March 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) One of the travel industry's biggest annual events is due to take place in the German capital next month.

ITB Berlin is an international trade fair for the travel sector that attracts nearly 180,000 visitors each year.

The 2011 edition is due to run from Wednesday March 9th to Sunday March 13th at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre.

Although it is largely geared towards professionals in the industry, the event is also open to the general public for the final two days.

This means holidaymakers can head down to the fair and get the inside track on the key travel trends, destinations and tour providers for the following 12 months.

Visitors can expect a variety of displays from international, national and regional tourism organisations, as well as leading hotel groups, publishing companies and airlines.

For the third consecutive year, the organisers of ITB are offering tech-savvy travellers a smartphone application to guide them around the event.

The downloadable app can be used by visitors to locate nearby tourist attractions and restaurants, as well as navigate their way around the exhibition hall.

Last year's trade fair saw more than 11,100 companies from 187 countries display their products and services in Berlin, with a similar level of participation expected this year around.

Members of the public can buy single admission tickets on March 12th and 13th for EUR14.50 (GBP12.40). The event will be open between 10:00 and 18:00 local time each day.

After 14:00 on March 13th, last-minute tickets will be available at the reduced price of EUR8.

Travellers planning to visit the fair can find a range of Berlin hotels at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Maritim Hotel Berlin.

For more information on this event, contact the organisers on +49 (0)30 3038-0.

Online Auto Insurance Informs Consumers About 'No Pay, No Play' Laws

2011-03-02
Motorists in the United States have plenty of incentive to cover themselves through a standard auto insurance policy before pulling out onto the road: If they're caught by law enforcement officers, they're likely to be subject to fines--which can be steep in some states--for violating financial responsibility laws. And if they cause an accident while driving without proper coverage, they're likely to be fully responsible for compensating others involved in the accident for the damages they cause. In a new FAQ, the writers at OnlineAutoInsurance.com outline another argument ...
