"We have a state of the art computer system out of Toronto and our server sits in Dallas, Texas. We do most of our printing and our local advertising right there in the warehouse. We keep updating our printers and copiers and try to do everything locally right inside the warehouse, so that saves a substantial amount of money," Braaten says in the article.
The Company also provides an online catalog updated at all times for the customers to access new and improved products. Currently, Northern Grocers is working with a company called Utilitran, which provides the Company with a system that allows all of its customers to go online and order products.
