Hot Body Pilates announces opening of new Gaslamp studio offering daily group mat classes

The new studio, at 777 6th Ave., is the Pilates studio's second location, following main studio which offers private reformer Pilates sessions

2011-03-04
SAN DIEGO, CA, March 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) Pilates enthusiasts and Downtown residents alike are welcoming a new favorite to the streets of Downtown San Diego, this month: Hot Body Pilates, a full-service Pilates studio offering a multitude of Pilates services by Certified Instructors, announced the Grand Opening of its second Downtown location, just a block and a half from its main studio, which offers group mat classes in conjunction with other classes and services.

In addition to the Pilates mat classes, the new studio, located at 777 6th Ave. suite 107 & 109 (just below the 777 Lofts), also features an acupuncturist with a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Specialized Body Work by Kloey, a senior esthetician, and yoga classes.

The second location opens five years after the main studio went into business at 560 6th Ave.; after Owner Kloey Hanson saw the need for a Specialized Pilates Training Facility in the Downtown area.

"I decided to open a second studio in order to expand my service offerings to include group Pilates mat classes; since I've found that many people enjoy working out in a group setting," said Kloey. "Generally speaking, group Pilates' classes are less expensive than private Pilates' sessions on the machines. Therefore more people are able to enjoy the benefits of taking regular Pilates classes regardless of their fitness budget."

All of the current Certified Pilates Instructors at Hot Body Pilates are highly trained in all levels of Pilates mat/floor exercises and traditional Pilates with the reformer machines. The instructors switch between the main studio, for private sessions, and the new studio, to teach the group mat classes.

The new state-of-the-art facility was built with a modern, upscale look and has been specifically designed to hold group classes for Pilates, as well as Yoga and a variety of other group exercise classes.

In addition to the add-on of group classes to Hot Body Pilates list of services, the main studio now offers therapeutic body work for mild, moderate, or chronic musculature pain. This treatment is also useful for soft tissue needs, allowing clients to receive specialized sessions which can be worked into their Pilates packages.

"After all, we understand how busy our clients are and the more convenient we can make getting rid of a client's aches and pains, and restoring their bodies to their desired results, while saving them precious time, the better," said Kloey.

Visit Hot Body Pilates at either of its two locations or visit http://www.hotbodypilates.com for class schedules and booking information.
