SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, March 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) Filmmakers, actors and fans of horror movies will be heading to Sydney's A Night of Horror International Film Festival between March 31st and April 8th.
The city will welcome special international guests, as well as experts in the field who have created feature-length and short films to entertain the crowds.
Guests have been invited to enter their own horror film, animation, music video or screenplay for the judges to view.
Directors Dean Bertram and Lisa Mitchel offer an insight into past events on the festival's website. They say previous hits include zombie and vampire comedies, supernatural chillers and monster movies.
They add: "People will always want to sit in the dark and be scared - and sometimes enlightened - by films that explore the shadowy depths of the psyche."
Special screenings have been arranged in the run-up to the event, such as a showing of modern grindhouse classic The Devil's Rejects at the Bondi Junction Event Cinemas on February 28th.
