Hotels-Paris.co.uk - See the World Premiere of Akhmatova in Paris

Akhmatova will be performed for the first time in Paris later this month.

2011-03-08
PARIS, FRANCE, March 08, 2011 (Press-News.org) Opera enthusiasts can ensure they are among the first people in the world to see Bruno Mantovani's new production in Paris by signing up for tickets soon.

Demand is sure to be high for the piece, which was inspired by the life and work of the Soviet writer and poet Anna Akhmatova.

With music by Mantovani and libretto by Christopher Ghristi, the performance will be an attractive prospect for fans of the genre.

The show is running from March 28th until April 13th 2011 at the Opera Bastille, with Janina Baechle starring in the title role supported by a fabulous cast.

Akhmatova was one of the most widely respected female Soviet writers of all time, despite being censored by Stalin and his communist regime.

Composer Mantovani made quite a splash in the 2009-10 season at the Opera Bastille with a ballet of Siddharta and the venue has high hopes for this subsequent production.

Tickets range in price from EUR5 up to EUR110 (GBP4.25 to GBP93.65) and are available online and at the box office.

Opera fans can flick through a wide variety of budget hotels in Paris on Hotels-Paris.co.uk, which includes a selection of accommodation around Bastille.

Visit http://www.operadeparis.fr for more information or call the venue on +33 01 7125 2423.
