LeadershipIQ.com Launches Site Redesign, Hints At Free Testing Area To Assess Users' Leadership Skills

New site to include area that allows leaders to test their proficiency in a wide variety of leadership skills and disciplines.

2011-03-10
WASHINGTON, DC, March 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) LeadershipIQ.com, a popular website run by one of the top employee research and leadership consulting firms in the world, Leadership IQ, just received a makeover.

According to the firm's own leadership, it was a project conceived in part by the website's audience, "We really had two big issues that needed to be addressed: One, we're ramping up our free content production to answer the demand from our online audience. Our old design simply wasn't fit to handle all the new features we'll be rolling out," said Mark Murphy, the firm's founder and CEO. "And, two, we took direction from our own users on how to improve their experience on our site. They told us that the old design was ambiguous and hard to navigate, so we dramatically simplified the new site's navigational structure and content categories to fix the problem."

But Murphy says, "We're not done yet!" hinting at more new developments to come from the website. "We can't let the cat completely out of the bag just yet, but we will soon be launching an entirely new area of the site that will allow leaders to test their proficiency in a wide variety of leadership skills and disciplines. And like all of our videos, white papers and articles on leadership, this area will also be free."

Though Leadership IQ has long established itself as a powerhouse in the offline leadership training and employee survey business, Murphy has challenged his web development team to bring the same level of service to the firm's online users.

"Our director of marketing calls the new site a 'living thing,' and I like the metaphor," Murphy says. "We will continue to lead our field in providing research-based best practices for the world's top leaders - that will never change. But, additionally, we will create the most robust catalog of free leadership content on the web; we will engage our web visitors with tests, surveys and self-assessments; and we will innovate new products - both online and off - to meet our clients' demand. This means we will never be 'finished' so to speak with the new website - it will always be evolving."
