PARIS, FRANCE, September 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Foodies may want to book their Paris hotels, as the city's Tasting Week begins soon and looks like being an absolute feast for the senses.
Not only will people have the opportunity to tuck into some delicious French cuisine during this nationwide festival, they will also be able to learn more about different foods and cooking techniques.
Attendees can expect to see debates, workshops, tastings and plenty more during Tasting Week, which the organisers explained is all about the pleasure and diversity of flavours, as well as the education of consumers.
According to travel listings website What's on When, the event - which takes place from October 11th to 17th this year - is all about "real food" and even experienced chefs could learn something new at one of the occasions associated with the annual celebration.
"During this fabulous gastronomic event, top chefs, farmers, writers and restaurateurs unite to bring the rich French gastronomic tradition to the French public at large," explained the website.
After tourists have fed their mind with one of the culinary occasions within the programme, they can head to one of a whole host of eateries that will be offering cut-price menus during the festival.
Most events are free of charge, but some may involve payment.
For more information on this event visit the Tasting Week website.
