BROCKTON, MA, March 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Eight local moms have been selected as featured bloggers for the Signature Moms Blog, http://www.signaturemoms.com, sponsored by Signature Healthcare and Tufts Medical Center. The mommy bloggers were identified through a contest sponsored by the two organizations where moms were encouraged to visit Signature Healthcare's Facebook page and post a written narrative explaining why they would be a great blogger.
Meet the winning mommy bloggers:
• Robin Ruehrwein - Middleboro - An experienced blogger, she is a mom to three boys and was remarried this past October.
• Tanya Dennison Pimental - Brockton - Also an avid blogger, she loves sharing the adventures she has with her husband and two children.
• Sheila Greene Gaudet - Norton - A mom who balances caring for a teenage soccer player and an eight-year-old with special needs, and a full-time job while her husband serves in the military.
• Martianne Stanger - Middleboro - An experienced blogger, part-time contractor and full-time mom with three children ages 5 and under to help keep her on her toes.
• Kristen Jackson Clifford - Bridgewater - Another one of our experienced bloggers, she is currently a stay at home mom who recently gave birth to twins!
• Jessica DiRamio - Whitman - A mom to three daughters who admits wholeheartedly she is addicted to Facebook.
• Kris Berry - Randolph - Her life as a mom actually started at Brockton Hospital with the delivery of twin boys.
• Abigail Mulligan Keane - Brockton - A mom to an 18-month-old son and has another one on the way! She currently works at Brockton Hospital as a radiology secretary. Abigail is the only Signature Healthcare employee among the mommy bloggers selected.
While readers can expect to find an abundance of helpful health information, topics are not limited to healthcare. The blog will feature posts about local, kid-friendly restaurants and movies, childcare, summer camps, schools, community events and anything else of interest to area mothers.
"Women want to connect with other moms in their area and mommy blogs are a great way for them to come together and share their stories and experiences," says Vice President of Business Development for Signature Healthcare, Marie Gross. "By following a mommy blog, women gain inspiration and obtain new ideas for handling the demands of being incredible moms, professionals, multi-taskers, volunteers, caregivers and wives."
Each mom will write one to two posts a month beginning in March. The topics will vary greatly, depending on the personalities of the bloggers and their range of daily experiences in the community. Some of their blog entries will come in the form of video posts. The bloggers will meet in person quarterly at 'blogger brunches' to share ideas and brainstorm upcoming topics. There will also be guest posts by medical experts representing Signature Healthcare and Tufts Medical Center who will provide valuable and timely healthcare information to the readers.
