LONDON, ENGLAND, September 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) A unique exhibition is taking place in London showcasing a photobook world record attempt that includes pictures from every country across the globe.
Tourists can find the display by heading to the Old Truman Brewery from their hotel in London between October 15th and 18th 2010.
The concept of this show involves an image having been captured in each nation in the world and a panel of judges deciding which of them is the best in each continent.
More than 28,000 entries were received and 600 have been shortlisted, with each one telling their story and what their picture is about.
"Pros, students, mums, dads and granddads have joined in to capture real people, mesmerising cultures, iconic landscapes and exotic wildlife from every one of the 193 countries that make up our world," remarked the organisers.
They highlighted how the panel of judges - which includes Manfred Baumann, David Noton, Annabel Williams and Damien Demolder - are going to have a tough time.
It is all part of the East London Photography Festival 'PhotoMonth' and the world record attempt will see a 20-foot by 13.8-foot photobook showcased at the venue.
The exhibition is free and opening hours are from 11:00 BST to 18:00.
For more information on this event visit the Estampa website or contact the venue on 0207 770 6000.
