ELEKS Software Experiences Record Sales and Strong Revenue Growth for 2010

ELEKS Expands to Keep Pace with Demand for Software Services

2011-03-18
HENDERSON, NV, March 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) Headquartered in both Henderson, NV and Lviv, Ukraine, ELEKS Software (ELEKS), a global provider of high-end application development and localization services for the U.S. and European markets, today announced that the company's revenue grew by 28% in 2010 over the previous year to establish yet another record year for sales revenue for the same period.

"For twenty years now, ELEKS has shown a consistent pattern of delivering healthy, strong revenue growth - and 2010 was no different," noted Alex Skrypnyk, CEO of ELEKS Software. "Despite a struggling global economy, the company continued to focus on serving customers' needs, some of them have been customers for more than a decade," continued Alex.

Part of the company's growth plans for 2010 entailed opening 4 new offices. They included a new U.S. headquarters in Henderson, Nevada, a new regional office in Burlington (Boston), Massachusetts, a new satellite office in Palm Beach County, Florida and a new European sales headquarter based in Warsaw, Poland.

Seeing a need to expand its marketing efforts to keep pace with anticipated growth, the company brought on seasoned marketing executive Phil Parker mid-year to head up marketing as the Director of Global Marketing. Reporting to Tony Clarey, VP of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Parker was tasked with revamping marketing activities for the company and increasing awareness of the company's services for both the United States and Europe.

"During the past year, ELEKS foresaw the trend of its customers and potential prospects continuing to augment their own software development teams with highly skilled software resources that were often hard to find in local markets", stated David Fuller, CEO for ELEKS, Inc., the U.S. arm of ELEKS Software. "Additionally, the same groups were seeking longer-term relations with closer engineering partnerships with companies that could offer premium levels of software expertise. ELEKS filled that need by providing its customers with teams of highly talented software engineers and test engineers with proven software expertise. Using smaller, yet dedicated teams, led by principal engineers with strong mathematical, scientific and financial backgrounds, ELEKS was able to work more efficiently and deliver complex projects in timeframes that often surpassed customers' expectations," Mr. Fuller noted.

Growth In All Divisions

With a customer-oriented approach, ELEKS achieved its goal of continued strong financial growth throughout the year in all of its major business units. These units include ELEKS' Custom Software Development unit; ELEKS Localization (L10n) and Testing Services, a group that has expanded to become one of the largest localization / globalization companies serving this market; ELEKS Design Studio group, which provides corporate web portal and intranet development services; and ELEKS' Products Group, which develops and licenses applications for vertical markets.

ELEKS Localization Group Sees Strongest Growth

With the main engineering development campus in Lviv, Ukraine, a large percentage of its human resources growth came from ELEKS Localization. With the company's core competency being software development, ELEKS witnessed a surge in software companies around the world seeking to "globalize" their software products for export to international markets. "All too often, software companies new to localization and globalization practices seek the services of a translation house to localize their software products, but quickly realize these firms lack the technical expertise needed to get the job done properly," says Taras Tovstyak, ELEKS Localization Division Manager. "This is where ELEKS' technical strength really differentiates our skill sets", noted Mr. Tovstyak.

Our People Are Our Most Valuable Resource

ELEKS' top management has long lectured at and had strong connections with the top universities in Western Ukraine. ELEKS has used these connections to nurture some of the brightest minds in Ukraine. Many of these shining stars are later lured to ELEKS for the types and wide variety of interesting software development that the company is able to get from companies around the globe. With that in mind, ELEKS is able to attract the nation's brightest to fill its job vacancies. During 2010, ELEKS was able to draw upon this talent pool to grow its ranks by 17% to more than 470 employees to keep up with customers' expectations.

"The most valuable asset of any software company is not equipment, but rather, it is the people and the brilliant minds that make up this large software engineering boutique that we call ELEKS Software," says Alex Skrypnyk. "In many ways, the downturn in the global economic recession has forced us to focus on what our customers need - provide them with bright, creative minds that can solve challenging problems in a timely manner and at a good value. We are seeing that strategy paying off handsomely."
