Cheryl Dyck Will Help Non-profit Client Raise $80,000 in Six Months

Coaching for a Cause uses business coaching principles to help charities raise funds.

CALGARY, AB, CANADA, March 19, 2011

For Linda Kundert-Stoll, President & Artistic Director of Calgary Arts Summer School Association (CASSA), many doors opened when she first began the pro bono coaching process with business coach Cheryl Dyck and joined ActionCOACH's first, annual Coaching for a Cause campaign. A non-profit organization, which introduces individuals to the arts, and enhances the skills of those already involved in performing, literary or visual arts, CASSA was also able to raise $47, 581.60 as a result of this coaching process.

Coaching for a Cause is a far-reaching, global pro-bono coaching program that helps non-profits and charities from all walks of life increase their top-level goals and better manage their funds through a simple pledge system. The program is designed to bring the proven and systemized business building methodology ActionCOACH uses to help for-profit business owners to non-profit entities.

Last year was the first time Coaching for a Cause ran and it was incredibly successful as ActionCOACH helped raise $3.4 million world-wide. This year the goal is to have 100 coaches donate at least 10,000 coaching hours to produce $5 million in additional funds for the chosen charities.

Only half way into the campaign and Dyck has already helped the organization raise over $10,000 for the 2010-2011 campaign, with the goal of helping them raise at least $80,000 by the end of the campaign.

According to Linda, as a result of Dyck's efforts, they were, for the first time, able to receive funding from CanadaHelps, an on line source, which is now available through CASSA's web site.

"Our donor base is now international; it is easy to make a donation to us. We learned how to develop a larger donor base, and create better relationships with current donors." Linda said. "Through ActionCOACH connections, we now have an expert to advise us on print advertising, and also have access to a professional video, among other things."

Looking back, Linda recounts, "one of the best things to have come out of this coaching relationship is that my team is better than ever."

"We have established regular meetings and are able to better understand each other's personalities and there has been a marked improvement in our attitudes and communication," she added.

Linda continued, "Small things have now become habits, like writing on backs of cards, using a white board to list work with deadlines and documenting current processes for the future. We have had help with our new strategic plan and sponsorship brochure and we developed new vision and mission statements."

About continuing her coaching relationship with Dyck, Linda said, "I believe that long term the coaching will make a huge difference. Many initiatives are now in place, and many more are in progress. Our professionalism has stepped up to a higher plane, and the future looks bright. We are thankful for the Coaching for a Cause campaign -the world is a better place because of this initiative."

ActionCOACH is the world's number one business coaching and executive coaching firm, with more than 1,000 offices in 32 countries. To learn more about ActionCOACH and Coaching for a Cause, go to actioncoach.com.
CASSA continues to change approaches, while developing their student base and their programs. The goal is still the same-to help students to have exposure and professional training in the arts. The upcoming event on March 26, 2011 @ 6:30 pm, Music in the Meadows @ Canyon Meadows GC is one of the new initiatives for fund raising and awareness. Check out http://www.calgaryartssummer.com to register NOW for the March 26th event, donate to their wonderful cause, or register students into their summer programs.

Cheryl feels that CASSA fills a niche in the arts and education world. CASSA helps students to grow, personally and professionally, to build focus and confidence that will lead them to many careers and goals down the road. Without people to help them and who believe in "Giving to others" they wouldn't be able to help those in need. Please support their events, and also consider attending our Business to Business Interchange Expo on April 6th, 2011 @ 6:00pm, where all registration event fees will be donated to Calgary Arts Summer School. Businesses will network, gain education from the speakers, and build relationships with the participants and attendees. Register NOW at: http://www.b2binterchange.net
