Arizona Cardinals' Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Delivers Charity Basketball Game to his Alma Mater TSU

Pro-Bowl NFL Player, Rodgers-Cromartie brings celebrity friends together for an action packed and entertaining charity game

NASHVILLE, TN, March 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) All American turned Arizona Cardinals' Cornerback, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie along with his Alma Mater Tennessee State University have joined together to host the DRC Foundation Celebrity Slam Jam for the first time in Nashville. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday April 8th at TSU's Gentry Center from 7:00pm-10pm, with a Players Autograph session from 5:45pm-6:15pm (open to the public). Proceeds from the event will directly support the mission of the DRC Foundation non-profit organization, along with TSU's Athletic Department and select local scholarship programs for students. Tickets to the event are $15 for Adults in advance and $20 on game day. Children 12 and under are $7 in advance and $10 on game day. In addition, children 5 years old and under are free to this event. Tickets can be purchased at the TSU Box Office, TSU Bookstore, all Mt. Zion locations and are available online at http://www.DRCFoundation.org.

Dominique has called on an exciting group of both local and national celebrities to participate in this charitable function such as Terrell 'T.O.' Owens, Titans player Chris Johnson, Mount Zion's own Bishop Warren Walker III, Anquan Bolton, Andre Johnson, Brian McFadden, 101.1 The Beat Jamz & FlyMajor.com's DJ Crisis, Platinum Artist Young Buck, NFL hopeful Cam Newton, and countless others.

The first and second Celebrity Slam Jam was hosted in Rodgers-Cromartie's hometown of Bradenton, FL. Now Dominique and his foundation have teamed up with TSU Athletics and Nashville's favorite collegiate promoter FlyMajor.com, and are set on hosting his star-studded event in Nashville, TN. Rodgers-Cromartie is confident that the DRC Foundation Celebrity Slam Jam will be the most electrifying celebrity charity basketball game to hit the city!

About Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie:
Rodgers-Cromartie was drafted by the Cardinals in the first round (16th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. In just his second NFL season and first season as a full time starter, was voted to his first career Pro Bowl in 2009 after recording six interceptions, the highest total for a Cardinals player in a single season since 2003. He became the first Cardinals cornerback since 1999 to be selected to the Pro Bowl and has led the Cardinals in interceptions in each of his first two seasons.

In 2008, Dominique was named an All-Rookie selection by the Sporting News and the Pro Football Writers Association after tying for the NFL lead among rookies with four interceptions. It included a 99-yard inception return for a touchdown against St. Louis in Week 14, tying the franchise record for longest interception return.
In addition, Dominique became the first Tennessee State player taken in the first round since 1974 when both defensive end Ed "Too Tall" Jones (Dallas, 1st overall) and linebacker Waymond Bryant (Bears, 4th overall) were selected.
