Dohop doubles hotel revenue at start of 2011

When comparing the first two months of the years 2010 to those of 2011

2011-03-24
REYKJAVAK, ICELAND, March 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) When comparing the first two months of the years 2010 to those of 2011 there is an increase of 37% in visitor numbers to travel search engine Dohop (www.dohop.com), but a staggering two-and-a-half fold increase in hotel revenue for the same time period. What is surprising is that this is a natural growth, as the company has not been advertising the hotel part of the site apart from sporadic mentions on the company's Facebook and Twitter sites.

Dohop, which recently partnered with HotelsCombined for their hotel search, expects this growth to continue well into 2011 and sees clear evidence of this for the first two weeks of March. The deal with HotelsCombined means that people who are already coming to Dohop for the flight search have no reason to go elsewhere to find a hotel, as they are now guaranteed to find the lowest hotel prices on Dohop.

Dohop is a travel technology company. Dohop.com is Dohop's most popular product, helping travelers find cheap flights, hotel deals and low priced rental cars. Dohop also offers search products for airline and airport websites in addition to offering an affiliate program with revenue sharing for travel websites.
