Christian Author Harel Lawrence To Donate 100% Of Proceeds From Book Sales To Japan Aid Effort

Harel LawrenceâEUR s award winning book, 'Take A Closer Look', is a poetic examination of faith, love and spirituality written to open readers' eyes. He now hopes to open people's eyes to the dire need of the Japanese people

2011-03-25
SUPPLY, NC, March 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) The recent catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in Japan have brought the problems faced by mankind into much sharper focus. Governments, corporations and individuals have responded to these horrific events with offers of billions in aid. Many of us may feel our own small gifts, though well meaning and sincere, may be too small and insignificant in light of the unimaginable amount of assistance required. Harel Lawrence, author of 'Take A Closer Look', believes that no effort is too small. In his opinion, it is the thought that counts. He intends to donate 100% of the profits from his book to World Vision to aid the people of Japan, and he is asking others to do the same.

"I feel that if I can make a difference," stated Mr. Lawrence, "in one person's life and do everything I can to help others, I feel that it is all worth the effort. I also want to do all I can to spread the love and do what ever I can to serve those that are in need. Making the difference and changing the life of others shows my concerns for the families that have lost their loved ones and those that are missing. If I can inspire and encourage others to make a difference and spread the love for others then everything I do is for the right reason. The sacrifices that we make, to give and to share our love for others and not to expect anything in return, is all worth it."

Harel Lawrence's latest release, 'Take A Closer Look: A Spiritual Journey Into The Soul', serves as a tool for closer examination of love, faith and Christian spirituality.

Mr. Lawrence's poems are not ordinary Christian poems or Christian poetry, but are instead prose poems, which gives the thoughts they contain a more meaningful presentation. These thoughts can be inspiring and can make a wonderful collection for anyone who is searching for the right path and for love in our difficult age. The book contains inspirational and encouraging thoughts for readers of all ages. After each poem, he offers brief interpretations of each poem to help guide readers in their understanding.

"My hope," continued Mr. Lawrence, is that each reader will find their own meaning in these poems to help and guide them. And I hope that the glory of God will touch each person's heart and bring the reader as much enjoyment as I experienced when writing these thoughts."

All profits from the sale of 'Take A Closer Look' from March 22, 2011 to September 30, 2011 will be donated to World Vision. World Vision is "a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice."

The Editor's Choice Award was presented to Harel Lawrence on November 2005 and 2006 for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. This was presented by poetry.com and the International Library of Poetry. Lawrence received the National Poet Laureate through poetry.com for the reviews that he has received for his poems submitted at poetry.com. He also received the International Who's Who in Poetry for some of the poems.

Mr. Lawrence is available for media interview and can be reached using the contact information below. More information is available at his website, or by email at harellawrence@att.net. 'Take a Closer Look: A Spiritual Journey Into The Soul' is available at his website and at most online book outlets. All profits from the sale of the book until September 30, 2011 will be donated to World Vision.
