Inspired Films Launch 'Friend For Life' Video and Marketing Campaign For Just A Drop
Promotional films, Twitter campaign and dedicated website www.weneedfriends.org created by Inspired Films aims to raise awareness - and money - for water-aid charity Just A Drop
LONDON, ENGLAND, March 25, 2011
London-based film and video production company Inspired Films - http://www.inspiredfilms.tv - today announced the launch of 'Friend for Life', an integrated social media campaign and dedicated microsite http://www.weneedfriends.org for International water-aid charity Just a Drop - ww.justadrop.orgIt is the charity's first ever consumer campaign, and calls for people all over the world to be the charity's 'friend' on World Water Day, with the website offering visitors the opportunity to sign up and to show their support for the charity.
The ambition is for http://www.weneedfriends.org to reach 20,000 registered 'friends' within fourteen days. Should that target be reached, then Beds and Bars, the award-winning budget accommodation, bar, pub and club travel company, will pledge GBP14,741 to fund a Just a Drop water well-building project in Sevrey, Mongolia, that will deliver clean, safe water to the village's 3,000 inhabitants.
The website (built by creative partner Designate) also features the charity's new promotional campaign films and new web / TV commercials (including one featuring a voice-over by Joanna Lumley), all created by Inspired Films.
'Friend for Life' aims to encourage members of the public to pledge just GBP2 a month to help reduce child mortality caused by unsafe water. Just GBP2 can deliver clean water to a child for 20 years, so donating GBP2 per month can give a child and their families clean safe water for life. The initiative is also set to be supported by a host of celebrities - including Alexandra Burke of X Factor fame - who will update their Twitter accounts and other social media as they rally their followers to lend their support to @Just_a_Drop.
Louis Paltnoi, Creative Director for Inspired Films said, "We are delighted to be supporting Just a Drop, to help highlight the incredible work the charity has done and continues to do in countries all over the world. With the promotional films we have created and the launch of the social media campaign, we hope Just a Drop goes from strength to strength".
Fiona Jeffery, founder and chairman of Just a Drop said, "I want to say thank you to Inspired Films for not only creating such amazing and powerful promotional films for Just a Drop, but also coming up with the social media campaign and website idea for our Friend For Life initiative."
Inspired Films and Just a Drop hope that the Friend For Life campaign will enable the charity commit to many more life-saving projects all over the world, securing a safer future for millions of children.
