Catalina Island Vacation Rentals Introduces Director of Marketing

Largest Vacation Rental and Real Estate Company Responds to Surge in Tourism

2011-03-25
AVALON, CA, March 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) Over the last year, Catalina Island has undergone what many are calling a "renaissance" and Kevin Strege, President and CEO of Catalina Island Vacation Rentals, Inc., (CIVR) and Catalina Island Real Estate, Inc., (CIRE) anticipates steady growth in tourism. With a highly optimistic outlook, Strege has recently announced the addition of Amy Tran as Director of Marketing. Tran will oversee marketing for both companies and develop long-term strategies for consistent growth.

"Amy will provide our company with a unique perspective on the vacation rental business along with a fresh look at the Island" says Strege. "It is an exciting time for the Island. It has grown tremendously in terms of new attractions and new business developments. We look forward to seeing Amy's determined and imaginative nature at work as we set out to develop exciting marketing campaigns to draw in more visitors to enjoy and experience the newly refreshed Island and CIVR. We will also continue our longtime relationship with The Right Angle, Inc., a full service advertising and marketing firm, as well as with Blizzard Internet Marketing and eCatalina.com, industry respected website developers and SEO managers of the companies' highly-interactive websites."

This is clearly a great time to capitalize on the Catalina renaissance. Santa Catalina Island has recently seen a great deal of revitalization activity that includes the addition of some very inviting attractions. Vacationers have always looked to the Island for a relaxing stay with unique shopping opportunities. But new types of visitors are now coming to Catalina for its exciting eco-adventures--outdoor activities for all ages, which include mountaintop to ocean zip lining, an awe-inspiring underwater sea walk, as well as hiking and mountain biking in the interior of the island with breathtaking one-of-a-kind views.

Along with exciting new tours and activities, Catalina Island has seen a boom in its business and real estate developments. New dining experiences have been added along with a new condominium community, "Triana," which provides much needed housing for those who live and work on the island. The island is teeming with opportunity, and for those interested in building or buying an Avalon dream home, the time to act is now. These are exciting times on the island, and that has created unparalleled enthusiasm at CIVR and CIRE.

"This is a great time to be a part of Catalina Island Vacation Rentals. I am thrilled to be working with such a supportive management team and an equally supportive team of co-workers," says Amy. "I quickly sensed that, like many communities, Catalina Island businesses play an integral and synergistic role with one another, as success for one means the success of many. The dynamics of my relationships, as always, will be very important."

Prior to CIVR & CIRE, Amy held positions in the manufacturing, wellness, real estate and hospitality industries where she played an integral part in the growth of services and products. In addition to her broad marketing and sales background, Amy managed operations and logistics for an international business division with sales of over $20 million dollars. One of her personal and professional goals was accomplished by obtaining an MBA from California State University, Long Beach.
