Giant Israeli Corporation H.Y. Group Acquires 50-Percent Ownership of Sites & Photos

Sites & Photos, the world's largest photo and video supplier devoted only to Archaeology, Architecture and Ancient Art, announced today that H.Y. Group, one of Israel's leading corporations, has acquired 50-percent ownership in the company.

ISRAEL, March 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) Sites & Photos was established in 2005 by Samuel Magal, a certified archaeologist and photographer, in order to fill the void in professional, high-quality documentation of archaeological sites and ancient art. Over the years the collection has been expanded to include architectural masterpieces and religious sites from all historical periods. The company is unique for conducting academic-level researches on each site in its collection, and for supplying reliable and up-to-date information about each monument or artwork. Today, with over 350,000 images and more than 25,000 full-HD video clips, it serves as a valuable resource for both the academic and the commercial sectors.

Expanding the Collection
Both partners believe this step will take the company to the next level, and will enable it to extend its scope to additional locations and cultures. "Even as we speak, new photographic campaigns are being planned at Slovenia, Albania, Montenegro and Croatia, which are all new to our collection", says Samuel Magal.
"We have enlarged our research and graphics teams, and our entire staff is eager to prepare the new images and footage for our clients", adds Ronit Marco, Sites & Photos' Content Manager.

These days the company is renewing its photographic equipment, to ensure that all of its new products are in the best quality available today. In addition, Sites & Photos will launch a new website in just a few months (www.sites-and-photos.com). It will include an online store, thematic galleries and many new features that will make it very user-friendly, whether the user is a stock footage buyer, a commercial picture researcher or a professor looking for illustrations for an article or a classroom presentation.
"We have great plans for the company, and they are already starting to bear fruit", sums Gur Ziv, the new Business Development and Marketing Director.
