The book has already garnered two literary prizes given an Honorable Mention for Fiction by both the Hollywood Book Festival and Independent Book Publisher Award. The story is a fun adventurous story about a car-racing, poker-playing and spirited grandmother who delights in entertaining quirky characters. She also supplies her granddaughter a memorable summer in 1947 Iowa when the pair team with barn-storming pilot to catch a wanted felon and stumble across a century-old secret of how the town got its name.
Crosby will be also be sharing stories about her days in Hollywood where she teamed with movie icon Garry Marshall in seven films including "Pretty Woman" and "Beaches."
