2011-03-30
CORNWALL, ENGLAND, March 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Stand-up star Tim Vine is set to share his love of puns with comedy fans in Cornwall later this year.

The comedian and actor, known for his amiable persona and rapid-fire one-liners, will bring his latest show The Joke-amotive to the Hall for Cornwall on Tuesday May 3rd.

A previous holder of the Guinness World Record for the most gags told in one hour, Vine's stand-up act is based around his flair for clever wordplay and a constant stream of puns.

He is a regular at the Edinburgh Festival and can also be seen in the popular BBC1 sitcom Not Going Out alongside Lee Mack, his fellow comedian and close friend.

The 44-year-old received the best joke of the festival prize from TV channel Dave at Edinburgh last year.

Vine also released a new DVD entitled Punslinger in 2010, but for those who prefer to enjoy comedy live on stage, his gig at the Truro venue looks set to be an unmissable event.

Tickets are available online for GBP17 and the show will begin at 19:30 BST.
