"Chamber Door" Introduced by 1-800-PACK-RAT Gives Restoration Industry On-Site Treatment Solution

New Chamber Door design allows remediation and restoration industry to offer Dehumidification, Hydroxyl and Ozone treatments on-site instead of having to shuttle affected items to and from the site.

2011-03-30
RALEIGH, NC, March 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Moving and storage company, 1-800-PACK-RAT, recently unveiled its new portable storage containers equipped with "Chamber Door." The new Chamber Door design gives the restoration industry a much-needed solution to providing on-site treatment for items affected by smoke, mold, water and fire. Now the industry can offer Dehumidification, Hydroxyl and Ozone treatments on-site instead of having to shuttle affected items to and from the site.

Designed specifically for the flood and fire damage restoration industry, the Chamber Door has been rolled out in five of 1-800-PACK-RAT's markets. The name stems from the use of environmental chambers the industry uses to treat damaged items. With specialized outlets and ducts, the Chamber Door accommodates most hydroxyl, ozone and dehumidification extensions used by the industry. This new design would not have been possible with a typical roll-up door offered by many of 1-800-PACK-RAT's competitors. PACK-RAT's "barn-style" door opens out, thus making the Chamber Door solution an option.

1-800-PACK-RAT has been working with professionals in the restoration industry for many years. Director of Business Development, James Burati, explains that the new Chamber Door design was in response to industry suggestions for PACK-RAT containers to be more than simply a solution for storing affected items. There was a strong need for a solution for treating those items on-site. 1-800-PACK-RAT is proud to support the restoration industry with this new solution that will not only make the treatment process more efficient, but also decrease the likelihood of more damage to the items being treated. Burati calls it a "significant change in the industry."

1-800-PACK-RAT's Chamber Doors are now available for on-site rental and delivery.

For questions about the Chamber Door, contact James Burati at (240) 216-3010, jburati@1800packrat.com or go to http://www.1800packrat.com/About/chamberdoor
