They operate two offices; the original location in Hobart, IN and the affiliate company based in St. Petersburg, FL.

Vincent R. Boyd, Sr., also named 'Doc', moved from Chicago to start Boyd Construction Company in Hobart, Indiana in 1911. As Boyd Construction has grown it has also diversified and kept pace with changing times. In 1974 Boyd Construction began working in Sarasota, FL, rapidly gaining clients throughout the state.
During the 1970's and early 1980's Boyd Construction Company operated in two locations, one in Florida, and the original location in Indiana. In the latter 1980's Richard Boyd closed the doors in the Florida office to focus on the economic boom of the Midwest.
Peter Boyd, great-grandson of 'Doc' Boyd, opened the St. Petersburg, FL office in 2009 after receiving his Certified General Contractor's License in the state of Florida. Since opening the new office in 2009 Boyd Construction Company has rapidly gained large clients in the area and has established themselves as an honest and credible company in both the residential and commercial markets.
