Windell Middlebrooks, Nationally Recognized Television Actor, Announced as Honorary Chairman for 5th Annual Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Texas Golf Tournament

Actor attending tournament to help raise funds for at risk youth

LAKE DALLAS, TX, March 31, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Texas announced today that Windell Middlebrooks, television star and celebrity, will serve as Honorary Chairman at their 5th Annual Golf Tournament on April 28, 2011 at Frisco Lakes Golf Course, Frisco, Texas.

"We are thrilled that Windell is going to be our Honorary Chairman for the Tournament", said Babs Troutman, President and Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Texas. "With Windell in attendance I know our golfers and sponsors are going to have an entertaining time getting to meet and greet him", Troutman stated.

Middlebrooks one of most recognized celebrities on television will be taking time off from his schedule of portraying Dr. Curtis Brumfield, Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, on the ABC Television Network's series Body of Proof.

"I am so excited to be coming home for such an important event. 'Character is the standard by which all good men are measured' and what I love about the Boys and Girls Club is that they build Character in young people. It's a privilege to be the honorary chairman for the 5th Annual Golf Tournament. See y'all soon!", Middlebrooks stated about his participation in the charity event.

This marks the 5th year of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Texas Golf Tournament. "As our biggest fundraiser of the year our board of directors, staff and volunteers spend a tremendous amount of time making this a successful event", Troutman said. "During these tough economical times it has not been easy to raise the necessary funds to keep our club open however, with Windell's assistance we believe this year's event will our best yet", stated Troutman
