NEW YORK, NY, April 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) German watch brand ELYSEE returned from BaselWorld noting a 30% increase in North American retailer attendance at their booth compared to 2010, and a strong demand for their latest styles.
"Our retail partners are purchasing a greater volume of ELYSEE timepieces, so there's definitely a return of confidence," says Zion Reuven, vice president of ELYSEE USA. "Our customers want to continue adding to their existing collection because they understand that they're getting a sophisticated timepiece, Made In Germany, for under $1,000."
ELYSEE launched a variety of vintage inspired and modern styles at the Show. There was a strong demand for the well‐priced fully ceramic designs (styles 30005 and 30006), rubber straps (styles 80467 and 80468), and the rose gold series (styles 80492 and 69008). In keeping with the latest trends, ELYSEE also increased their overall collection of smaller dials with retro detailing from the 1950's and 1960's.
The Company noticed that buyers were focused on fashionable yet elegant summer styles that transition easily into fall.
"We start shipping our latest styles mid‐April, providing retailers the opportunity for a quick turnaround and sales opportunity," adds Zion.
Aside from buyers, ELYSEE was pleased with the positive feedback from consumer press, noting that major publications including O, The Oprah Magazine, Marie Claire, and Brides visited their booth. Adam Glassman, creative director from O, The Oprah Magazine immediately tweeted to his followers that ELYSEE watches are "Great affordable, a lot of bang for your buck."
About ELYSEE
Although a 50‐year‐old European brand, ELYSEE timepieces entered the U.S. market in 2010 to instant acclaim. Embracing the spirit of 'heritage' - classic details that evoke a storied history - a retro style is one of the company's hallmarks. For the other styles, construction is enhanced by features including high‐end complications, surgical‐grade stainless steel and finely‐stitched leather bands. The collection includes timepieces for both women and men. All timepieces are designed and crafted in Germany, with retail prices for a wide range of automatic and quartz‐powered models from $295‐$995. ELYSEE timepieces are currently sold at fine jewelry retailers around the country, and online at http://www.ELYSEEUSA.com.
