MILAN, ITALY, April 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Veteran rock band Dropkick Murphys will headline an event in Milan later this month.

The group will play the Loud & Proud Festival on April 26th along with Madball, Devil's Brigade and more guests still to be confirmed.

Dropkick Murphys have been building up their reputation for delivering a fearsome live show filled with Celtic-influenced punk tunes since 1996.

They released their seventh studio album earlier this year and the quality of the guests on the record shows how respected the band are.

Both NOFX's Fat Mike and iconic singer Bruce Springsteen made contributions to the record, entitled Going Out In Style.

Cinema-goers may have recognised the Dropkick Murphys song The Warrior's Code in Academy Award-winning movie The Fighter.

The gig is part of a two-week European tour that includes shows in Norway, Sweden, Germany and Spain.

While the headliners will attract the most attention, people should also make sure they check out the support bands.

Madball are a New York-based hardcore band connected to Agnostic Front, while Devil's Brigade are Rancid bassist Matt Freeman's side project.
